  Today, December 1st, marks the official launch of the Saga of the Silver Blade.
  Most of the earliest inspirations forming the backbone of the Saga reach back more than thirty years. Since that time, this story has existed as a collection of whispers, notes, and dreams. Mostly notes. Lots and lots of notes. Binders full.
  Today, the ink is finally wet. I invite you to step into the world of Aithyris, a realm governed by the Eternal Song, where magic is art, history is a weapon, and hope is the only shield against the gathering dark.
  Why Today? This date is not chosen at random. It is the first of what I hope to be many performances of the Ostin Overture—a memorial and a celebration of the muse who started it all.

The Path Forward

Before now, only those closest to me (or close enough to me for long enough to learn about my secret world) knew about the Saga, and even most of them had no real idea just how deep this rabbit hole went. As of this moment, the first steps of the journey are live. I can no longer toil in darkness, the time has arrived to share this world and story with the world. Through December, the first five "chapters" will be release one a week, starting with the Preface, then Prologue, followed by each of the first three chapters of Book 1: Legend of the Silver Blade for free, right now.

Join the Composition

I intend for the world behind the Saga to be a living and evolving place. I have many ideas for how I would like to include the contributions of others in this world, crediting all artists for their work.
  For those who wish to dive deeper than the public pages allow, I plan to (volume of interest depending) to have a small set of Subscription Tiers. In addition to offering much greater depth on the world and narrative, I have even considered making my drafts available so that the curious can watch the drafts of Chapter 4 and beyond unfold in real-time.
  I don't have a timeline for this. Right now, I'm just trying to keep this thing moving. I gave myself the December 1 deadline and thought I would have plenty of time to build things out how I liked. I didn't. Not by a long shot. So, what that means is that I still have a lot of work to do in bringing my world to the surface and showing a polished version here. What I have on this site (as of this writing) is the barest introductory skeleton of the story to be told and world to unfold.
  What that means for those seeking the twilight is that the Saga of the Silver Blade and the world of Aithyris around it are but in their newborn infancy. You can watch the world blossom, and even maybe help bring it to life with your own contributions!
