The Land Beyond the Clouds
I grew up hearing tales of this land, the place where all humans came from and to which we will all return after we die. For our people, it provides hope that no matter how painful their earthly lives are they will one day find respite there.
The principle that we all come from the same place has given rise to questioning of the validity of a monarchy and nobility, especially during the mismanagement of the Long Wars. Now, reforms have largely brought an end to these complaints as the common people are in a better position following the end of the wars.
Geography
According to the legends, this is a land of beautiful gardens and plentiful food. There is no need to farm here, the food grows naturally and can be picked whenever it is wanted due to the ever warm climate.
There are amazing ocean views and rivers and lakes where people can swim safely and it is never too cold. Sailing boats come in and out but only for fun rather than trade for survival.
Ecosystem Cycles
Food is able to grow all year round and the constant sunny weather means that their is no discernible seasons. Time stands still here and no one ages so there is no need for a cycle in the ecosystem.
Climate
The weather is always fair so crops can grow all year around, the consistency is a welcome relief from the unpredictable weather of the earthly countries.
History
Stories about this place have been told since the ancient days as the place we all came from and to where we will all eventually return.
In the Royal Chapel there is a beautiful stained glass window on the east wall which depicts the rolling fields and seas of paradise.
Tourism
We have all been there before we were born and we will all return there once we die. Only a very legendary few can visit and come back to tell the tale.
I would like to visit, but it is really a one way trip unless I can join the blessed few which is very unlikely.
