13 Oct - Temple of Pure Water, Act III
General Summary
The Road to Highlake
Start Date: Unknown
End Date: Unknown
The last session picked up after a skill challenge in an null-magic zone that left the party at the end of a hallway with small waves of water flowing towards them and alternating walls blocking their line of sight. Once the party began their trek into the room, the periodic waves grew much stronger and several Water Elementals began to attack them. After struggling with the these obstacles, Agon made it to the end of the hallways and disabled the waves giving the party a moment to catch their breath before pressing on.
The next room was a larger domed cavern with a central lake and smaller connected pools scattered around. Within the lake was a grand stone statue of an Ocean Drake wrapped around shimmering sapphire inside of an impenatrable glass ball, as well as shimmering blue orbs resting in the stone dragon's mouth and on its tail. While the party could not wrest the glass with the sapphire free, they were able to remove each of the two other orbs which resulted in freeing the dragon from its stone prison. Queue the fight with the Ocean Drake where it attempted to drown people in the lake and shit-talked the particulars of Agon's draconic heritage. After overcoming this final obstacle of taking on the dragon, the shield covering the sapphire was dropped and the party was able to grab the last piece of the ring that they were slowly putting together - and managed to keep the two orbs that would have otherwise been used on the pillars to open the door.
