Cinpruxtkhaj Grasslands

Geography

The grasslands of Cinpruxtkhaj are wide ranges with little rainfall. Smasaa Range to the west, and other mountains to the south, contribute to its dry climate and drastic winters and summers. Winds speed through the flat lands, sucking even more water from the dry earth and air. The earth is tough and unforgiving.

Ecosystem Cycles

For about three-fourths of the year, the sun is scorching, the winds strong and dry, and the sky barely spares even a light shower. During these times, the Cinpruxt inhabitants work hard and bitter days trying to shape the earth, using irrigation to grow crops and gather food.

The winters are a stark contrast: temperatures at night during this quarter of the year can dip down bellow -30C. Winds never calm down, but instead of dry and hot, they are bitter and cold. Snow lightly covers the terrain.

Animals stay in the ground year-round. During the summer it provides a cool place to rest, and during the winter the earth provides a warm place to hibernate.
