The Web of Life
The Web of Life is a vast, black abyss with only small, thin strands that resemble silk. In reality, these strands are the threads of mortal lives; most cross over somewhere along the line, some end up entwined either because they fall in love and elope, or their fates led them to make an adventuring party that now relies on one another.
Raven Queen, The Matron looks over these threads with a close eye to ensure no one skips the bonds of the cycle of life and death.
