Worldbuilding Awards 2025
Awards Ceremony
The World Anvil Worldbuilding Awards Ceremony will be on April 5th on Twitch!
My Journey
When I started this world, I didn't think it would become much of a thing. It began as a random idea that came to me when I fell asleep one night. I liked the idea enough to write it down the next day and decided to use World Anvil. I kept adding to it, and the next thing I knew, a few months had passed. After those few months, I saw the potential in this world and decided to do the Summer Camp event. It was my first World Anvil event, and I absolutely crushed it, writing for all 42 prompts (and then some)! Even though I didn't win any of the prompts afterward, I still had fun. November came around, and World Anvil started the first NovelEmber event. By this time, I had gotten a solid setting down and wanted this world to become an Epic Fantasy book series. I was working on a Word Goal Tracker during October, so I didn't have time for story planning ahead of time. I started from the beginning of the story, and rewrote some of the scenes I already had. Once I got through that, I essentially became a planster. Then December hit — my very first WorldEmber. During this time, my world grew (in terms of worldbuilding and followers), surpassing the 10k words for the challenge just by a little. I also became more active in the World Anvil discord and met such wonderful fellow Anvilites! Even though, yet again, I didn't win anything in the end (Imagica stole the categories from me >:3), I still had a great time! Now, it's time for the next chapter of Legends of the Dragonguard (no pun intended). I have decided to enter the Worldbuilding Awards because why not (I want to win something, dammit!). Whether I win, get nominated, or nothing at all, this world will continue to grow. I've got plans for this world, and hopefully, I can make this into something greater over the next year.

Good luck, Nulchek! :)
