Cusith Moram

Original Chararacter by ponds, adapted by Jordan Beasley
Cusith Moram was once a feared Vampire Lord, ruling from a secluded manor beyond the village of Viera in the remote reaches of the Tatharian Empire. Known for his isolationist tendencies, Cusith shunned the broader conflicts of the Empire, preferring to remain apart from its politics and religious struggles. His reclusive nature allowed him to maintain control over his domain and raise his two children, Kysan and Classified, in relative seclusion.   Despite his withdrawal from society, Cusith's life changed profoundly when he met Allym, a mortal Tiefling. Their relationship was transformative for Cusith, as Allym sought to reconnect him to the humanity he had long since abandoned. Together, they had two children, both of mixed heritage—half vampire, half tiefling. However, tragedy struck when Cusith was away, and a radical group of holy men discovered Allym's connection to the vampire. After a sham trial, she was executed, leaving her children scarred and her husband devastated upon his return.   Fueled by grief and rage, Cusith vowed vengeance against the society that had taken his wife from him. For years, he trained his children in combat and Magic, preparing them for a crusade against humanoid society. As his plans matured, he mobilized his contacts across vampire society, seeking to launch his campaign of retribution.   Years later, during a mission to recover a powerful artifact, Cusith and his children were ambushed by a group of adventurers. In the heat of battle, Cusith made a fateful choice—he fled with his daughter, Classified, leaving his son Kysan to the mercy of the adventurers. This abandonment extinguished the fire of vengeance within him. After losing Kysan, Cusith’s spirit was broken, and the zeal that had driven him for so long vanished.   By the Time the adventurers tracked him down to end his schemes, Cusith no longer had the will to resist. He was defeated, though the exact details of his demise remain shrouded in rumor. Some claim that he was killed by the adventurers, while others suggest that he still lingers as a shadow of his former self, a relic of a once-mighty legacy.   For Classified, Cusith’s downfall has left a deep imprint. While she harbors the desire to carry on her father’s legacy of vengeance, she is haunted by the memory of how it consumed and eventually broke him. As she travels through the Empire, seeking to forge her own path, she is torn between the pull of her father’s past and her reservations about following the same dark road that led to his ruin.
