The Gunslinger
Beyond the edge of civilization, where the law struggles to gain purchase and dangers lurk around every corner, the unknown calls to the desperate exile and the fortune seeker alike. Gunslingers are not artificers, inventors, tinkerers, or engineers—they are pragmatists who use the best tools available to them. In most settings where you encounter a gunslinger, those tools are firearms. However, in realms without firearms, gunslingers might be arbalists or specialists with some other ranged weapon. What sets these characters apart are their focus and grit. They want to win. They need to win. Everything in them calls for them to do whatever it takes to survive in a hostile environment. Civilization doesn’t suit them.

The Inventor (Alternate Artificer)
Every Inventor is defined by a specific craft. Inventors see mastering the basic methods of a craft as the first step to true progress, the invention of new methods and approaches. Inventors are arcane engineers, students of magitech who craft deadly firearms, ingenious gadgets, magical armor, and mechanical beings that they can augment with magic. All Inventors are united by their curious and inventive nature. To an Inventor, magic is an evolving art with a leading edge of discovery and mastery that pushes further ahead with each passing year. Inventors value novelty and discovery. This penchant pushes them to seek a life of adventure. A hidden ruin might hold a forgotten magic item or a beautifully crafted mirror perfect for magical enhancement. Inventors win respect and renown among their kind by uncovering new lore or inventing new methods of creation.
The Inventor ClassThe Psion
Psions are those who have tapped into a special otherworldly force, with the ability to actualize the power of their mind to accomplish impossible feats. Reading minds, lifting vast weights, and transcending physical limitations, they tend to inspire awe and terror in equal measure. The exact nature of what psionic power is remains unknown, though it is known to predate the Empire. Exceedinly rare, psion's are often hunted by the Empire to be study subjects
The Psion ClassThe Soul Binder
Loneliness. Weakness. The call to adventure. For most people these are passing moments, a part of the ups and downs of everyday life. There are those however, who are defined by these feelings. Whether feeling alone in a crowd, powerless to get what they deserve or eager to see all things the world has to offer, soul binders have taken a drastic step to solve their problems. Unable to meet the demands of the world alone they choose to give up a piece of their soul to bond with another creature and face life's challenges together. When soul binders bind themselves to another creature, they do so for life. They will stand together, always, two against the world. They will always look out for each other, because in the end, they need each other. Whether they like it or not. The companion will often be the stronger of the pair, but without the binder to guide it, the companion is nowhere near its full potential. Players should note that soul magic is considered a forbidden magic, much like necromancy
The Soul Binder ClassThe Samurai
The Samurai, also known as Ronin, is a fighter who draws on an implacable fighting spirit to overcome enemies. A samurai’s resolve is nearly unbreakable, and the enemies in a samurai’s path have two choices: yield or die fighting. The first Samurai, usually under the service of a lord, began with the first settlers of Orpheus, before the Empire's colonization.
