The Feast of the King

I dedicate this feast, and the feasts that are to come over the next four days, to you; the people of Camlann, and you my brave soldiers.

In fact... Ever year, these five days shall be dedicated to everyone who helps protect and opperate our kingdom!
— The Threemetal Cycle, by Ewdin Rickman

Celebrated at the end of the harvest season, the Feast of the King (or Kingsfeast, the People's Feast, Meal of the Solstice, etc) is celebrated across the whole of Avallus, though its form changes a great deal depending on location, which itself is a large change from its original form.

First conceived during the time of King Gowyr, the Feast of the King as it came to be known was purely a Camlannder tradition, penned by the king himself. It's intent was to celebrate the work of the people, the masses, be they farmer, blacksmith, or soldier. The name came from the people, and simply indicated that the King would expense the whole celebration, nationwide. The food and drink, at least.

As Camlann conquered it's way across the continent, the celebration set down roots, and the King was always certain to include newly introduce populations to the celebrations if they wanted, bringing all closer together. Even after the fall of Camlann, the idea remained in the hearts of many. It would take on new life as the decades passed, and its many splintered forms have melded more with the cultures they find themselves housed within, changing the celebration's meaning by inches. Given enough time, I'm sure it won't even be recognizable.

Many nations have unique foods only served for their version of the Feast of the King, and even those differences can speak greatly to a nation. What kinds of foods do they prefer for celebrations? How do they feel about certain textures and the like?
