Here you will find the list of crew members of the The Scot. Some of the crew originated on the whaler, The Abigail Cobb, and had similar duties there.
Not all crew members remained until the end of the war, but those who died during it are noted.
The original fourth lieutenant of The Abigail Cobb, Ezra Mack, did not continue on with the privateer.
- The Commander of the ship and crew of the Scot privateer is Miles Dunn.
- The Lieutenants are as follows: Jonah Clark, Elias Turner, William Davis, Asher Sands. (Added: Isiah Caswell)
- Shares will be distributed among the crew based upon rank. A list of prize money earned will be shared after each sale and a full accounting of what is owed each crew member will be available upon request at any time. A number of shares from each prize will be set aside for special bonuses and as compensation for serious injuries.
- Only British ships will be taken for prizes. No prisoner will be harmed without cause once a ship has surrendered and no one will take from a captured ship's cargo or stores without express permission from the Captain.
- Captain Dunn will provide provisions, weapons, and clothing as needed, though these must not be wasted by those they are provided to and each crew member is expected to take care of their weapons and clothing to ensure they need not be frequently replaced.
- All members of the crew are expected to treat each other fairly and with respect. If anyone is harmed or stolen from punishment will be given as seen fit by the Captain or Lieutenants.
- The ship will be kept tidy at all times for ease of battle preparation.
- When in port the crew will be given shore leave if deemed possible. During that time all crew must properly conduct themselves. Those who act as rogues will not be taken back aboard.
- Any person who does not agree with these Articles or who wishes to leave the crew will be delivered to the nearest convenient port upon request and given payment owed.
- (excluded from official copy, included on copy posted for the crew belowdecks and verbally communicated to all crew at time of signing) Any personal relationships must be agreed to by all parties involved. Acts of force will be punished in a way considered reasonable to the Captain or Lieutenants.
