Surcount Garret of Ashcastle
Garret Ilkitala, second son of Kauro Ilkitala (himself the second son of Grand Duke Armas III), would go on to gain an infamous reputation during the Doric-Aijian War due to his poor defence of his Surcounty and his eventual death, succumbing to Sulamata, leaving his holdings and vassals without a male heir, leadership left to the loathsome Marshal Reko. Though of the great Ilkitala Dynasty, Garret was often considered of considerably lesser standing than his contemporary relatives, largely due to his arrogant and aloof personality, famed for his extravagant hunting trips and expensive armour sets (of which he seldom wore). Perhaps the only positive legacy he would leave behind would be his youngest daughter, Nuovi Ilkitala, commonly known as the Great Lady of Nimala, who would become a highly influential noblewoman during the years before, during and after the Doric-Aijian War.
