Sheriff Square

Sheriff Square is the main square of the town of Eidehn, it acts as the focal point of the settlement where people often gather and mingle as well as the primary access point for the most important institutions and businesses in the region. Named Sheriff Square due to the offices of the local Sheriff being located on the square's edge, the name became popularised during the reign of Veli II who assigned a particularly ruthless sheriff to Eidehn to deal with the common tax avoidance of the settlement, many who refused or who were caught avoiding the Grand Duke's taxes were publically hanged in the square.
