Citrine Tamella
The Citrine Tamella is an arena that is located within the Doric capital of Canyndor, often referred to simply as "The Citrine". The arena is so named due to the abundance of yellow quartz (citrine) that is inlaid into the structure's main supports, though due to the traditional tiered structure of Tamellas (meaning good combat in old Doric) the upper tiers of the structure are instead built of wood and thatch which allow for modification for extra capacity or specific needs.
A common spectator sport that is hosted within the Citrine Tamella and indeed, many other Tamellas, is the sport of Sabre Duelling. The Citrine Tammela has long hosted one of the most prestigious tournaments in the central kingdoms regarding Sabre Duelling known as the Silver-Seal Tourney. The competition has long seen the most experienced and renowned duelists from across the known world travel to Canyndor to compete for the title of Grand Victor. The reward for the esteemed duelist is the Silver-Seal awarded by the Grand Duke and is said to serve as promised payment for anything the Victor may wish to purchase in Canyndor up to a total value of 100 Kupar - enough to feed a wealthy and large household for a year.
Other sports are also hosted within the Cirtine Tamella, some commonly such as Harvikus (or Tuontu in common Doric), an unarmed combat sport most commonly found in Torania that has many other similar variations across the central kingdoms. It may also be that the Grand Duke wishes to hold unique events such as jousting competitions, martial demonstrations or even public dances within the venue.
