Suffering Succotash grew up as the son of one of Maedrin's lieutenants tasked with maintaining the Tower of Light at Wizard's Study ten miles NE of Creag Eudach. As one of the Keepers of the Verdant Shade his father inculcated in him knowledge of the powerful fiery magic integral to the mighty Quartz Tower. Prince Caer no longer keeps as close a track of magickal concerns as he once did and the salaries of the Keepers of the Verdant Shade reflect this. Having grown up on cut-rate food as such a meagre salary could afford he has taken the name Suffering Succotash to inspire him to never accept eating that unpalatable horse fodder ever again. Adventuring will surely fill his belly with delectable comestible!
Inspired by the Tower of Light's radiant facets and walls Suffering Succotash has pursued his magickal inclinations to learn the arcane truths that lead to the blazing illumination of Universal Enlightenment! Fools who fail to apprehend the power of Light will be enlightened by being engulfed in its cleansing flames! Besides, some place called the "The Firelands" is right up his alley.
