Chloe "Crazy K" Kettsen

Chloe started her career in radio on KNTC. After a sudden food-related illness struck one of the morning show hosts at the Summer Radio Festival, the station manager called upon Chloe, at the time a new intern, to fill in. She took calls for the fair's quiz shows, and became an instant hit. Soon after, she was added as a permanent host for the morning show. Here she gained her nickname "Crazy K", for her energetic shows and her segments asking callers for their odd stories about the town.   After a few years, Chloe was promoted to the position of Late Night Radio Host. She toned down her energy to fit the late nights but kept her moniker, to keep the listeners connected to her fun and positive origins. Her soothing voice acted like a lighthouse for nerve-ridden callers, driving back the creeping fear of the encroaching forest. But the constant strain of taking midnight calls and shielding the town from fear slowly wore her down. Sometimes an anxious caller would be cut off mid-sentence. Other times, her high fidelity headphones would pick up on disturbing noises in the background, sounds that would confirm that a caller wasn't simply lonely or paranoid. And alone in the radio station, she would have no calming voice to listen to when something scratched at the roof or whispered outside the walls.   Eventually, she snapped. During a particularly difficult call, she cut to a prepared segment, called the sheriff's department for a cleanup at the caller's location, and walked away from the job. She sold her condo and almost all of her possessions, buying a van and disappearing into the woods.   Chloe still hangs around town, mostly living in her modified van and operating the pirate radio station "Radioactive Radio", where she collects reports of paranormal encounters, strange events, and, increasingly, details and warnings about cover-ups for incidents around the town.
