Red Oak Bluffs is a small town on the border between human habitation and true wilderness- the dark coastal woods of the Pacific Northwest. The town is normal on the surface: people are generally happy, and there is a strong sense of community. But under it all, a sense of unease drifts through the town. Everyone has a story of a night they were sure something was watching from the woods. Town historians have collected more ghost stories per capita in the region than most other places, and people from the outside often state that despite the charms of Red Oak Bluffs, they find themselves looking to leave sooner rather than later.
