The Maw of Remilekun
Located in the far east, past the Great forest, lies a secluded and ancient temple. An outdoor courtyard decorated with ivy covered marble statues of great heroes, beauties of renown, and the greatest minds in all of the colonies outline a cobblestone path to the temples entrance. Playful laughter and soft whispers can be heard among the statues with the occasional children's toy being left behind from their source if one's curiosity urges them to investigate. The temple itself lies at the end of the path, and appears to be a face carved into the side of stony hill. The entrance of the temple is an old wooden door that lies behind a row of columns shaped to look like teeth. The truth of the Maw of Remilekun can only be found however by opening the door and realizing that the temple is a lie. The voices were real, the face in the hill begins to breath, and the maw closes down on you. The voices were those of the ghost children of the King Remilkun. They are lonely in death and now their only joy is to find new people to play with inside. Visitors that enter through the door should worry about more than the tricks of dead children, for now they are in the bowels of the Wizard King himself, Remilekun.
Geography
The outside of the Maw is located on the outskirts of the Great Forest and is other than grass and the hill the Temple itself is carved in, empty. Inside the temple however, lies a warped world created from the fragmented memories of Remilekun. Divided between three different paths, each representing an aspect of the king's psyche, the paths change shape while those who are trapped inside explore them and diverge into tunnels that lead to dead ends, traps, and rooms formed from the king's memories.
Fauna & Flora
Outside of the temple are the ghost of Remilakun's children who tease and lure travelers into his maw. Inside are the spirits of those who betrayed Remilakun and convinced him to undertake the ritual that would turn him into a Wizard King, binding his soul to his temple.
