The Moon's Brilliance, The Mother of the Lunar Flight, Tug on the Tides, Holder of the Frozen North, The Savage Moon, Mother of Magic,
Physical Description
Neia's body is covered in dense, shimmering pale fur, longer in some places than others. She has a thick mane along the back of her neck and down her belly, and almost completely obscuring her chest and arms. Her antlers are branched, curling up and pointing forward, just behind her eyes. Her arms are also disproportionately small, and cannot be used for locomotion, instead using her wings much in the same manner as a bat or wyvern.
Like many of the most ancient flight leaders, Neia is a dragon of a different breed to most younger individuals. Born of an era before humanity, Neia is a truly massive wyrm, her size seeming even more impressive due to her large wings and tall rack of antlers. Only recently was her beauty, a mark of being a 'perfect being' among the Lunar Dragonflight, revealed as a literal illusion: like most dragons of significant age, she bares many scars and wounds visible even through her fur. Since dropping the illusions over her body, it has become clear that Neia is of a different more ancestral species of dragon, leading to some lunar dragons exiling themselves from the flight due to her not fitting within the flights typical beauty standards.
The most notable injuries she bares are burns on her face and antlers as a result of combat with mortals, as well as her throat having been torn out by
Ferventi, God of Wolves during the War of the Moon. In the same battle, her tail was severed by a
Anti-Dragon Lance. Neia has continued to leave her neck stained by blood from her conflict with Ferventi, claiming it to be a mark of how little he truly wounded her, though this is heavily debated even by other dragons, and thought that her injuries may have been far more severe than she let on. Many believe that Neia is still using some illusions to hide her deteriorating condition, as she has notably lost significant weight over the course of the war.
Neia holds many titles related to her skill in magic for a good reason, as she is not only the creator of many spells, but the most powerful user of them. She is able to use any lunar spell on anyone in the light of the moon, and for up to weeks at a time while also doing other tasks and casting on other individuals. Her use of magic in war is well known for its absolute devastation.
Due to her large size from being fed by other members of her flight, Neia is also a fierce physical combatant capable of fending off even some minor gods, and all but the most robust of dragons. Even with such a delicate frame, as is common in wyvern type dragons, her long neck and powerful bite allow her to reach the vitals of others easily and dispatch them.
Mental characteristics
Neia was already a powerful wyrm, and elder form of a dragon, when the dragons awoke during the human era. She was quick to declare war on human kind, and one of the most cruel in her methods of all dragonkin. She readily wiped out human settlements purely for the sake of dominating them and as a show of force, would force humans to fight her young, and used them as soldiers and test subjects when developing new spells. Neia is credited as one of the major players in the creation of the omnia, and shaping the fledgling race into what they are today alongside her mate,
Aien Sol De Draco. Many omnia hold a bad taste in their mouth to this day at the mention of her, and refuse to speak about their time when they were captured by her.
Much of Neia's history is outlined on the history of the
Lunar Dragonflight, due to being heavily intertwined.
Only recently revealed, Neia was wounded by
Lorenzo McConnell during the
Omnia's Revolt- Rome due to an explosive device crafted by him with assistance from
Rikta, Neia's own daughter, who had been exiled from the upper caste due to having children unauthorized. Rikta became a traitor to the flight and was branded as a criminal, being forced from lunar territory under threat of death. According to Rikta herself, for this crime her mate,
Lazule, was also attacked by Neia and blinded for supposedly turning her daughter against her. Since then, Neia had hidden her injuries using
Illusion spells.
Personality Characteristics
Neia is extremely against the omnia and those she deems lesser, a category which includes anyone outside of her flight. Her bigotry and cruelty is well known, and she was a major player in the subjugation, oppression, and extinction of the human race. Among dragons, she is known especially for her cruelty to those she sees as failures and embarrassments to her flight, and is said to kill those her fail her personally.
Nepotism in her flight is extremely common, with Neia heavily favoring her own children over those who may be more qualified and a refusal to hold her children who don't meet her expectations to those she has for others in high regard.
Neia's extremist views, racism, and bigotry has led to an extremely radicalized culture within her own flight, widely considered an outlier even among other nationalistic flights.
Social
Neia Lun De Draco is perhaps the most hated person by the omnia as a whole, credited with the one encouraging and even creating much of the suffering they and the humans faced.
Neia has hundreds of children, most of them being fathered by
Aien Sol De Draco. Only the most skilled of them are acknowledged by her to exist, and those that she does, she heavily favors. She is known for calling all who serve her as her children and children of the moon, which she sees as an avatar and symbol of herself. Many of her generals will be called her children, despite no blood relations.
Children of Neia who do not adhere to the flight's incredibly strict ideals, propaganda, or beauty standards are most often not acknowledged if not disowned entirely.
Neia has shaped much of Lunar Dragon culture by placing herself at the top of their society not only as a ruler, but as someone equal or greater to that of the very gods. Through propaganda and a culture that pressures such from birth, she is revered in their society.
She has a great disdain for the actual gods, viewing most of them as weak and beneath her, and also as having stolen land she views as rightfully hers. While Neia has allied herself with Hilathu due to both wishing to dismantle the pantheon, this is where their similarities end. Neia herself wishes to dismantle the pantheon entirely, and instead replace the power structure with one in which the lunar dragonflight, and by extension, herself, is at the helm. This is in direct contrast to Hilathu, who wishes to preserve a pantheon in which he himself is the dominant role, with all others being subjugated by way of undeath or execution. It's believed by many that should either one succeed in their endeavors, they will turn on one another at the soonest convenience.
Her ego knows no bounds, with the wyrm often declaring herself the creator of magic itself, to much controversy even among other dragons. Neia's extreme racism and xenophobia is widely known and even opposed by other extremists outside of her flight, with much of the lunar dragonflight being disallowed entry from political discussion, events, and policy making in many regions.
Her voice is often regarded as being strongly feminine, and also extremely formal.

Relationship Reasoning
Neia and Aien are a bonded pair, and with no equals in power and strength other than one another. Their entire relationship is founded not on mutual respect, but by draconic cultural norms, they cannot take on mates drastically weaker than themselves. Due to the only dragons meeting this criteria being one another or hated enemies, it is a relationship of convenience.
Aien has fathered hundreds of Neia's children for the sake of continuing her bloodline and having heirs, although he considers almost none of them to be his children, favoring those with other mates and declaring them to be true solar dragons.

History
When the dragons rose, Lorenzo was unfortunate enough to be one of those quickly captured and broken into submission by Neia. Perhaps even more unlucky, he was one of many that became the first known omnia and unlike human counterparts, was not spared a quick death and was instead forced to serve her will or be tortured for disobeying.
With the help of one of Neia's daughters, Rikta, Lorenzo was able to smuggle in the components to build a bomb and use it to escape from Neia, the left overs being used to bait her into a trap and greatly wound the great dragon, temporarily blinding her. This act caused many lunar dragons' faith and trust in Neia to be shaken, as no mortal had ever been known to wound her before, and is seen as a great failure by her.

Neia holds perhaps the largest territory outside of the Major Gods, which is off limits to outsiders and those who have not sworn complete loyalty and fealty to her. She controls much of the ice sheets and norther ice caps due to a lack of competition, and has built a massive fortress there out of ice not only to house her most loyal and her children, but as a show of force to rivals. This has been called into question by many, as the vast majority of regions under Neia's direct control are oftentimes regions without food, resources, or claims by others, having long since been abandoned due to glaciation.
