The Dark World
The dark world is the term used to describe the plane of existence, which was discovered over 180 years ago by experimental teleportation magic.
There are more similarities to the material plane than other planes, however, one would immediately note the absence of stars during the night. Secondly, the sky, on very clear days appears to have a sort of faint grid pattern.

Geography
Home to the Valley of the First. There exist gate-stones scattered across this realm, in few shapes and sizes. Gate-stones, where planar energy densities are highest and allow for transport between planes of existence. Little is known about how these stones came to be, or how they work.
Some claim the mountains to the northeast to be far too massive to not be considered magical made, and truthfully, not many adventurers have seen the other side of the enormous mountain range and returned. They have also presented a great opportunity for dwarven colonizers, those who otherwise might be too cautious of new lands if not for the plentiful caverns therein.
The swamplands on Pendor don't appear to hold many valuable resources for how deadly they can be, so naturally many adventurers' lives have been spent attempting to find riches there. It is also home to a few tribes of native lizardfolk, how they found their way here before other world travelers is not known.

Localized Phenomena
The Weather in the world is very randomized with the many objects in orbit affecting the weather on a seemingly random basis. The World may have once been a utopia to some, however over the long era of winter much has decayed and the functions of the planet no longer function like clockwork. The weather can be highly random and sometimes strange phenomena occur, like the dead returning, sometimes just for a day, sometimes for months.

Fauna & Flora
The Flora & Fauna can vary wildly from location to location. In the First Valley for example you could find typical woodlands and mountain ranges. Not much further away you could find; enormous Jungles floating in the sky, frozen Deserts, Chaos wastes swarmed by demons, vast Oceans with thriving undead, and many more other extreme habitats.
Natural Resources
What makes the world unique is the presence of gate-stones. A magical resource imbued with planar energy, sometimes acting as a gate to other dimensions. Floating islands may have gate-stones linked to the elemental plane of air, frozen deserts may be linked to the elemental plane of Ice, Chaos wastes directly linked to the Abyss...
As for the First Valley, it has a kind of Tree growing in the ironwoods with wood as hard as iron, sometimes even stronger, It's theorized there may be a gate stone underground linking the trees to the elemental plane of earth and imbuing it with strength from there. There are said to be far too many resource-rich caves in some mountains for there to not be some connection to earth-gate-stones. Indeed some of the early entrepreneurs established themselves in the new world with a booming mining business.

'At first there was but a seed, upon which the ancient gods built upon. That time was referred to as the Summer Epoch and then it developed to a full-sized planet by the time of the Autumn Epoch. To perfect the Utopia envisioned by AhSh, an enormous construction was fabricated around the dark world, a series of large platforms in orbit around the planet, each purpose-built for the great plan. Many of the Platforms use the planar magic of gate-stones to either provide light and simulate daytime, provide heat, cold, moisture to create different weather patterns, some may have even been linked to the positive energy plane, greatly increasing the number of years a life may experience.
