Sir Donovan Ulysses Klaus Edinborough IV, Professor of Arcane Archaeology aka "The Duke" meets the Guardians of the Guildpact while investigating a mysterious magical signal that a device he built picked up. The signal was coming from the guild signets.
The Duke explains his knowledge of Valtara and is eventually invited to join the GotG and take them to Valtara.
