Celeste Kingdom

The Celeste Kingdom is one of the major powers of Western Glastol, occupying the bulk of the mainland with some influence over the Western Peninsula and the southern islands. It came into existence over a hundred years ago with the collapse of the Yastoria Kingdom. Currently it holds influence over the majority of Glastol affecting trade and travel. Though they hold the most power, they currently stick to the mainland and the southern islands.   Celeste is ruled by the Arganon family, currently under the leadership of Queen Amaras Maria Xi Arganon following the death of her mother Amarand Leann Ci Arganon three years ago. Queen Amaras is overseen by her retired grandmother, Solaris Josephine-Santonia Arganon, commonly known as The Crystal Queen for having been the one to seal the demon Bakura Garou near fifty years prior.   As of current day the kingdom has remained to itself despite rising tensions. The instability and aggressive nature of their neighbor, the Galahan Kingdom, the increase of monster attacks west and east, the arrival of the 'supernatural races' all around them, and inner turmoils of their own. The Kingdom operates with regional governors around its territory who recruit local knights, as there is no true national army to send around the kingdom. Any forces sent out of the kingdom are mostly volunteer.   The Celestial Guard and their squires, The Codes, are the main fighting force of Celeste. The government also recruits select volunteers and draftees from around the kingdom to serve in their Elite Core who serve the Guard and Codes; though rarely is this unit deployed. Instead the regional governors may be financed by the capitol to work with the Codes to tend to particular issues of their concern. These regional governors report directly to a council of the kingdom's top brass.
