Despite their young age, Victoria would learn a horrifying truth about how her new friends survived outside the cities protections, between salvaging scrap for coin and Killer warming the beds of men to keep them feed. She tried to get Killer to come work in the city with her, but the unfortunately reality is that the Mills would never let the young boy Kidd in with her and Killer refused to leave him behind.   As Killer approached her own 12th birthday, Victoria would learn that despite all the things she had endured, she'd never even so much as been kissed before, and that would be Victoria's gift to her; the first of many kisses the two girls would share  over the years.   While Victoria continued to work at the Mills, she worried about Killer's work constantly. She started to talk to the woman who'd once worked at the mills, and reconnected with a young adult named Quincy who had turned to street work as well. Knowing there was safety in numbers, She introduced Killer to Quincy, and a few other women, who started with own brothel and - more importantly, watched out for each other on the streets. While Victoria didn't often take up clients, she found herself getting involved in it all the same and often came to blows with men who didn't treat her girls with respect.   Somewhere along the line, Kidd started to develop a hero worship mentality to her, often mimicking her mannerisms and talking patterns, and he'd try and come with her 'to work.' When Killer was actually working, she'd often be off doing stuff with Kidd so he didn't go looking for his friend to check up on her. Her and Killer would keep Kidd in the dark about the exact nature of her work until he was nearly 12 although he had some ideas.   What he's struggling with is trying to understand the whys of why adult men are so interested in his friends, and Victoria is at a lost to understand how to explain it, leading her to also be Kidd's first kiss when she can't figure out how else to explain the physical connection. She leaves Kidd's stunned, his whole world view askew, and if anything, it just leads to him crushing on her even harder.   During all this, Killer and her are on again and off again dating. It's complicated and they're not sure what to call it.   The trio are tight for years, up until a fateful dinner where they are sitting at a curry counter eating, and Victoria is regaling the two on her dreams of setting sail as a pirate ne day, planning to take Gol D. Roger's treasure and bring it back to Kutzk and using it to lift their city up and giving a proper middle finger to the WG. She's regaling them with her plans, and talking big about making Killer her second in command. Killer is flattered she'd trust her with that, a blushing mess, and Kidd finds himself for the first time not liking this talk of leaving. When he asks what his job would be, Victoria laughs, pats him fondly on the head, and offered to give him the job of cabin boy, before turning back to Killer.   Kidd responds by angrily shoving his curry away, only sort of accidentally at Victoria, arming for where her arm is resting on the table. instead, the bowl tips, and the entire bowl dumps into Victoria's lap. Her dress is ruined, and her face turns such a shade of red Kidd can't help but start laughing at how ridiculous she looks. Killer ends up starting to laugh too, and enraged, Victoria storms out. Killer follows her out trying to apologize, but then they start getting into a verbal fight. Kidd misses most of that, but when he joins them outside, the girls are both in each other's faces yelling. He tries to get them to back off, and Victoria hits him. Without hesitation, Killer hits her back, and then the trio are coming to full blows in the alley.   Victoria storms away.   They never have a chance to talk and make up. Victoria would go missing soon after; and as hard as Kidd and Killer look for her, they find her too late.   They set out to burn the whole city down in revenge. Its a hollow victory, and it does little to ease the pain of loosing her. Kidd will go on to name his ship for her, and they set sail for the One Piece, but there's no way Kidd will return to this island.   Kutzk killed Victoria after all. They city's just lucky he decided to leave instead of murdering them all in her name.
