Mikis Waila
They Abyssal Well of Matariel, a prize of the
Fenrir Empire. The expansive city of Mikis
Waila stretches around as much as half the
well, hauling giant buckets of water from within.
Much of Mikis Waila is structured to facilitate
retrieving water from the well and transporting
it across the nation to each village in need.
A part of this process is ritual worship
of Matariel himself, or at least the Fen
believe Marariel is a "he". Dozens of cathedrals
dedicated to the Well God dot the city and ritual
chants are performed at sunrise and sunset
to appease their god. When the prayers are
insufficient to bring water, it is the priests’
responsibility to make more substantial
offerings to the well.
