Knox-Camdyn
It claims that is was founded on the site of a mythical event, and is known for its piety because of this.
Demographics
There is an estimated two sixty seven farmers which were considered as burgess of the city.
Government
Their are four noble houses which control some part of the town. The descendants of the original merchant run the town in total, the eldest patriarch as the Burgomaster. The Children of The Grimm Hound also hold great sway in the city as it one of the cities of their theocracy. It was not uncommon for the burgomaster to be advised by a member of the local church or for a member of the burgomaster's family to be in the local church of the Grimm Hound.
Defences
The Town Bridges each have a series of gate houses and a raiseable drawbridge near the beginings to prevent initial entry onto it. The rest of the settlement however lacked much greater security. Most families lived outside of the town proper and the isle has merely built wood palisades enforced with stone foundations. Though it has a number of wood frame watchtowers.
Infrastructure
The mainstay of the town is its two great bridges the allow one to cross the river segments on either side of the isle. Wide enough to allow allow multiple caravans to cross at the same time along with the road to support such movements. The bridge and roads allowed a great deal of trade traffic to pass through the town which the taxes of such would help subside its repairs and the towns upkeep. Despite being one of the largest bridge constructions in that time periodi t is said to paid for itself in tolls alone in ten years
History
A young merchant fell into the river some distance upstream trying to escape bandits hunting. He did not know how swim and began to drown. He claims he awoke hours later on the small island, a large, sopping wet wolf hound pulling him from the water and huffing life into him. He could not however find the creature when he awoke, the isle was empty of any life not plant or insect. When he was found and rescued he would devote his life to a faith he had not been part of, worship of the Grimm Hound.
He would devote large amounts of resources to construction of two bridges to cross the river on either side of the island. Whuch in and of itself allowed trade in that region to prosper without taking longer treks to more narrow parts of the rivers northward, only to head south again.
Geography
The town is centralized around a river island, the deep wide river cutting southward before bending west to the sea. The river runs through a fertile flat land valley. The island itself is rather large and hilly. The river is wide and deep which makes nearly impossible for any crossing without assistance
