Anton (a.k.a. The One Who is Lost or Walker of White Petals)

One of the Aventine of Meadowian people common for the Slyiaflora Republic and Slyviaflora. He is the protector of lost souls, patron of gravediggers, and the spirit of the clarethria flower. He is well loved by his people as he is believed to be a guardian of his people and helps to restore the land.

Holidays

His times of celebration are almost never static in their dates, most villages with any strong worship of him will tend to align their celebrations with the harvest or changing of the seasons, such as the first flower to bloom meaning Anton has brought back spring and will normally begin a festival. One of the only consistently dated celebrations would happen in the City Lilium.

He is said to wish to only protect his people and live. Stories often say that the god will come to the aid of those who are lost to help them find their home or to those who are dying while lost and assure they never die alone or unburied. It is said he wishes to ease suffering to make up for every soul whose death he could not stop.

Body Features

Stories of him and religious art of him always differ on some aspects of his estimate height and wieght, but all depictions of him show him to be a tall, spindly man, with aquiline feature.

Personal history

His birth and the gaining of his name is described in the myth Anton The Grave Digger. In summary, though he was born from the grief of a lost child cause a flower to grow in the moonlight and vowing to protect the child. In the end, though the child died and the Aventine would take his name and become one of the major beings of the Meadowian Pantheon. He would teach the men of the meadows how to bury their dead so that all that comes from the tilled earth might return to her one day. For this reason, he would become of patron lord of all those who bury the dead. or assures their rest is eternal.   It is said Anton continues to roam the world making sure that all bodies and souls are returned to the land of their birth. He finds his way to those are dying and grants them a peace in their final moments. He is also said to be a guardian of those who stumble into the lands of the fae, for the fae care be less than gracious hosts and as a spirit of nature, he has sway with their kind.
