Mobile Purification Unit
The Mobile Purification Unit (abbreviated as M.P.U) is a militant political faction whose sole purpose is the elimination of Caelus-influenced entities within Colonized Space. They are known for resorting to any measures necessary in order to seek out and eliminate Caelus Mages, Nex Walkers, and monstrosities like that found in Echidna's Womb. Occasionally, M.P.U members will be contracted as operatives from organizations such as Cosmic Enterprise of the Americas due to their efficiency in nullifying Caelus-related threats. However, their relationship with other organizations is purely transactional and viewed consequentially— they have no interest in merging, being bought out, or adopted by any larger body in any way."Let it be clear, recruit: No matter what you witness, what unfathomable horrors you encounter, and acts of depravity you partake in, know that it is all in the name of restoring natural order to the world. Caelus, and all those that influence it, are tyrants that must die. By any means necessary."

Culture
The M.P.U embraces a strict military culture that is incredibly utilitarian. They do not readily engage in any religious activities, citing that worship of any faith indirectly empowers Caelus-influencing entities, thus engage in the practice of maltheism. They regularly promote a Darwinist mindset and have procedures laid out for everything among their ranks, from diet to reproduction. The M.P.U does not scrutinize an operative's cultural choices as long as they fall in line with M.P.U doctrines.
Assets
The Mobile Purification Unit possesses a wide berth of war assets, varying from stolen Vinculum of Discovery technologies to their own machines of war. Their war technology is often made for small unit operations, with every member of the MPU trained as a spec-ops soldier would be from other nations. They have extremely sophisticated reconnaissance and infiltration technology, as well as highly effective small arms that can easily tear enemy armor asunder.
For disposal of Caelus Mages and other similar entities, the MPU has developed an Anti-Caelus that ____________________
History
Founded in 2055 by a garbageman named Bryan Kistler, the M.P.U existed as a revolutionary force known as "The Ashen" in protest the growing Morose Affliction. For many years, Kistler's followers committed acts of terrorism in the name of purifying cities against the disease that threatened them, becoming a global, decentralized terror organization with no tolerance for anything considered impure. The Ashen continued these acts of terror until the end of the Morose Affliction in 2103.
After the cessation of the Morose Affliction in 2103, Bryan Kistler's successor, Savannah Kistler, began to fuel dreams of an empire on the merit of squashing the Morose Affliction. The warpath set by Savannah Kistler resulted in a declaration against Marcus Popov's faction, the Vinculum of Discovery in 2125. Their subsequent march to South America to squash Popov's VoD forces at New Cali, resulted in a cataclysmic loss that forced the MPU to back off from their assault and retreat. Establishing a small, secret outpost in South America, they continued to bide their time and lick their wounds until they would be ready to fight again.
In 2239, the complacency of the VoD had reached its threshold. An eager and bloodthirsty generation of MPU forces, led under Caesar Kistler, seized control of New Cali in a brutal engagement that left inexperienced Vinculum forces at their mercy. Of course, this victory would not last, as Father Popov's A.I would scuttle Vinculum resources and detonate New Cali, trapping the MPU invaders inside and causing the infamous Singularity, and the creation of Caelus. With half of the MPU forces perishing in the Singularity, it forces them to take on a smaller, more defensive role with their other half that remained at their stronghold in Corpus Christi.
During a battle in 2257 between Vinculum and M.P.U forces, a Vinculum field commander ordered fratricide in order to power a Caelus-infused war machine. Despite his efforts, the field commander failed to win the battle and fratricide was committed for seemingly no point at all. An M.P.U mole took the opportunity to spread ideas of desertion among Vinculum ranks, citing the corruption of Caelus that caused them to commit such a horrible act. This event was known as The Great Exodus, resulting in a sizable amount of Vinculum forces, technology, and assets turning over to M.P.U hands. This spurred the creation of propaganda and indoctrination materials, such as the M.P.U Recruit Handbook.
Since The Great Exodus, the M.P.U has grown substantially in size and recouped some of their historic losses in numbers. Although still small by comparison to other factions in Colonized Space, the M.P.U is ruthlessly efficient and prioritizes quality over quantity in all of their affairs. They are seldom trifled with and should be taken seriously by any that attempt to cross them. Now, Alexander Kistler rules with an iron fist, and still pursues his ancestor's dreams of conquest, but ultimately, revenge on the Vinculum of Discovery.
