Nadriv Rift
Geography
A small but dangerous split from Tlaihel Vally, Nadriv Rift is a deep canyon with a twisting form and captivating strata. The depth ranges from 40 ft to 90 ft, with only two reliable ways out for ground Fauna; the valley and Zepedai Stairs, a slope of large boulders also known as Traitor's Escape. The flash floods make this beautiful terrain treacherous to travel, though the Dagger Snakes have carved plenty of bolt holes and safe houses for those who can find them.
Fauna & Flora
Dagger Snakes, Kaafet Fenner, and Jursaw Kinks are on friendly terms. The snakes are the most friendly to outsiders and, out of all the camps and bases, theirs are most visible. Which is saying something, because the snake dens are really hard to find and usually require the guidance of an inhabitant. Plants (Tentril vines, Lilicer buds) tend to grow in clumps near the surface, but flora like Toakarp and other cacti/water plants grow near the bottom, where water is likely to pool.
Natural Resources
Not much. Some plants (see above) and Inani are scattered about, and clean water is collected from rain or pools at the bottom of the canyon.
History
Back in the Floods of Railher, the rain and waves that tore through Tlaihel Valley discovered a vein of dirt sandwiched between colorful layers of soft rock and clay on the side of the cliffs. Most of the canyon's formation happened during this time frame, though of course, it continues as flash floods unleash their force. After the rains calmed down the Dagger Snakes and a few other brave species inhabited the canyon, and soon word spread of the colorful and curving walls of Nadriv Rift.
Tourism
Since Nadriv Rift is an offshoot of Tlaihel Valley, it gets plenty of visitors from traders and sight seekers. Fauna will stay in the Glassweave villages and explore the canyon during the day, though at their own risk.
