Glassweave Fountain

Geography

A huge gouge in the land, starting at the base of the Tisvern Peaks and reaching into the heart of the Burning Forests, the Tlaihel Valley is known for its freshwater. Where the valley starts, hundreds of streams either fall from above earth or sprout from underneath. The Mountain's Tears cascade into multiple dish-like formations that pour into each other, which, in total, are known as Glassweave Fountain. There are nine large lakes and around twenty smaller pools, spread around on separate levels, each home to a small civilization. The entire valley would be a bustling metropolis if it weren't for the scarcity of life and the natural independence of the Fauna. The towns, namely Estru, Unzi, and Enispera, are mainly tradeposts and permanent populations vary from less than 200 to 4,000, which is probably the largest concentration of life in Burning Forests. The largest lake in the valley is Luciner, located on the lowest level. Streaming out of this final pool is Citet'Atio, which flows in a winding curve all the way to the Untamed Ocean.

Fauna & Flora

Foreign Fauna are more common in the Tlaihel Valley than anywhere else in the Burning forests, and Tankoi live in the lakes and pool. Common plants native to the region fight each other for space and some tree species are starting to grow where the mountain soil has fallen into the valley.

Natural Resources

Tankoi (the colorful and rare types), Timr, freshwater, fire-based plants.

History

Sometime BS, the Quake tore and gouged the land. Since then it has always been inhabited, and fought over. The Pulians named it Glassbow, but over time the name was changed to Glassweave Fountain. It became famous after the word was spread that the edges of the pools contained Timr, a rare substance back then.

Tourism

Despite Glassweave's beauty, it is mainly used as a trading post. And even though there are more plants here than anywhere in the Burning Forests, many are not edible and must be carefully avoided. For those few brave enough to visit for sightseeing, they would most likely stay at Hearthstone, a stay-den with a good reputation for safely housing anyone who can fit through the entrance, which is located on a raised ledge with a good view. Common places most Fauna visit are Skatter-Stars, a black overhang with star quartz embedded into the underside, and Fallen Angel, the tallest waterfall with a faint golden color caused by light refraction.
