The Gods

They say that universes start with a big bang... and on this plane this is particularly true. Tens of thousands of years ago the planes were nought but darkness and sterility. Into this darkness a great light forced itself, spreading life to the planes. This time was known as the The Travail when the war between the light and the dark caused both to mix and split, creating the Six Gods.   There are many Gods through out the planes of existence, and some belief in them may filter through to the Lands of Porphoria. However it is a general held belief, especially amongst those brought up within the Porphorion Empire, that any gods worshiped other than the six are just aspects of the six in another form.   The Six inclued: Geolu The Yellow God of the Sun, Justice, and Wealth; Hælan The Green God of Nature, Healing, and the Harvest; Naca-Larow The Blue God of the Sea, Knowledge, and Travel; Soð The Purple God of the Moon, Mystery, and Merryment; Bord The Red God of the Earth, Strength, and Victory; and Cwield The Orange God of The Hearth, Creativity, and Family.   However, as with the powers that made them, all the Gods are dualistic in nature, with each of the six also having darker sides. When these aspects are invoked we have: Geolu The Yellow God of Greed, Crusades, and imprisonment; Hælan The Green God of Decay, illness, and Poisons; Naca-Larow The Blue God of the Tempest, wrecked ships, and forbidden Lore; Soð The Purple God of Sloth, Nightmares, and trickery; Bord The Red God of Murder, Blood , and Lust; and Cwield the Orange God of Destruction, Wrath, and Obsession.
