Plates
Artifacts that are related to Arceus, the creator of the world and beyond it. These divine instruments act as vessels for The Original One to harness its boundless power of all 18 Types. There is a Plate for each Type, which would bring the total to an equal 18 artifacts. It is theorized that Plates contain the building blocks of the universe, allowing Arceus to create Pokémon, and any materials pertaining to the Type found within the world.
Currently, all 18 Plates are in the possession of The Phalanx.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
When attuned with a (worthy?) holder, a Plate can grant the user the capacity to utilize the elemental Type associated with it in varying ways.
Significance
Instruments of the Creator that channel its power and generate the energy of the 18 Types, allowing their wielder to theoretically create just about anything. Though not meant to be used by mortal hands, some have managed to at least establish a connection wiht one of the Plates to a certain degree.
