  Freyja Fenris – The Maiden Wolf of the Frozen Empire   Birth and Lineage   Freyja Fenris was born in 602 PR, the youngest child of Emperor Erik Fenris, ruler of the Fenris Empire. She was the fifth child in the line of wolves:   Rodrik Fenris – the eldest, a cautious and political heir.   Astrid Fenris – the second child and eldest daughter, a shield-maiden of great renown.   Asher Fenris – the second son, a fiery warlord and beloved of the marauders.   Olaf Fenris – the fourth, a brooding warrior with a poet’s soul.   Freyja Fenris – the youngest, born storm-marked, with blue eyes like the northern sea.   Unlike her elder siblings, Freyja was never destined for rule or command. Yet she inherited the ferocity of Asher, the pride of Astrid, and the stubborn endurance of Olaf.   Youth Among Wolves (602–620 PR)   Freyja grew up in the shadow of a fractured family. Rodrik busied himself with politics and law, Asher raided the coasts with marauders, Astrid carried a sword on campaigns, and Olaf wandered between duty and solitude.   As the youngest, Freyja became the wild flame of the keep, climbing battlements, sparring with soldiers, and testing her strength. She idolized Asher’s fearlessness and Astrid’s warrior’s grace, but also shared a close bond with Olaf, who taught her to temper fury with thought.   The Shattering of Fenris (620 PR)   In 620 PR, the Valkyrie Agadra Gora descended upon Fenris Keep.   Erik Fenris was slain when she crushed his skull and crown. The empire was “uncrowned by blood and flame.”   Astrid fought bravely but was gravely wounded. Asher led a doomed charge. Olaf survived but bears the weight of their failure. Rodrik took the crown, though his rule was seen as weak and compromised.   Freyja, barely eighteen, witnessed the ruin of her house. It was then she met Caleb Asher, the son of Rhegar Asher, who helped shield her from Agadra’s vanguard. From that day, her path was bound to his.   The Maiden Wolf’s Choice   Unlike her siblings, Freyja did not remain in Fenris under Rodrik’s reign. She declared her choice to follow Caleb Asher, leaving the north to stand at his side.   She sees Caleb as both savior and destiny—a bridge between Fenris and Dread Dragon. She swore not only to fight with him, but one day to marry him, uniting wolf and dragon bloodlines in one banner.   Present Day   Freyja lives still, a shield-maiden of eighteen winters, her blue eyes burning with pride and hope.
