Windor Orion

The Land of Green

Windor Orion, the Land of Green is one of the many settlements that are within Edelyin.  A "land of green" ruled over by Lord Dohalim il Qaras, known for its pleasant climate and natural beauty. The strange-shaped rocks dotting the landscape are a result of the potent earth astral energy that saturates the land.   It is said that before Dohalim became the Duke of this area through an revolt of the nation, it was similar to many of the other placements of slaves, inhabitants who didn't belong and was made to live a miserable existence toiling away at their overlords. After Dohalim took over he implemented massive political reforms that required the warriors to treat their servants with respect and dignity, as well as allowing inhabitants to rise through the ranks. Slaves previous were also payed salary for their efforts, enabling them a comfortable life.   The Majority of the warriors welcomed these changes, as many of them can be seen happily interacting with their once servants, however it is rumored that a small group of conservative hardliners, do not agree with the policy.

History

In the beginning, Dohalim was a mere member of the high-ranking house il Qaras in Gloomsfield. He and his friends Tarnigen and Avakhir were violinists. He eventually met Fahria, a commoner whose skills were unmatched, and introduced her to the circle. From then on, the only thing that mattered was the song to play. Eventually, Fahria and Tarnigen even became engaged. Dohalim never desired to be a duke.    However, he was required to compete for the position. Eighteen years prior to the beginning, he and Tarnigen became fierce competitors for the position. When he inevitably was forced to fight Tarnigen, the later resorted to dirty tactics to even the playing field, wanting to bring Fahria to the highest ranks in Renan society. Dohalim begged Tarnigen to stop, but he would not listen. In the end, Dohalim ended up killing Tarnigen. Distraught, Fahria swore that she would never forgive him.   With the deed done, Dohalim was dubbed the Lord of Elde Menencia later renamed to Windor Orion. However, once he arrived the city was in control of someone else, in order to make up for his misdeeds, he started an revolt against the warriors and planned to fight alongside those he didnt want to control, fighting with them and seeing the respect that came over it, however the trauma proved to be more than Dohalim could bear. Whenever he saw a slave cry or hear their screams, he would be reminded of that awful event. Unable to handle it, Dohalim's first act as lord was to abolish slavery and establish equality between the Warriors and Slaves under one banner.
