Highbane Throne (High-bane)
Empyrean Throne
The Highbane Throne, an old constructed temple that is dedicated towards the old magic and sundered gods of the past. It is the home of secrets known as Divine magic is one of three types, or four traditions, of magic, along with arcane, occult/psychic magic and primal magic,
That manifests in the form of spells and spell-like effects. Divine spells are drawn from divine forces and are considered generally less dramatic and destructive than arcane spells, with a greater focus on healing and protection and significant variance based on the domains of the deity granting them.
Worship often focuses at the temples, but organized services aren't universally required as many of the Stargazers are around the globe. Shows of obedience and prayers can be simple or ritualized, and are a common means among a god's faithful of communicating with their deity. Deific power is equal among those who wield it, regardless of how many followers the god has or how powerful it is in relation to other gods, though the more practical capabilities of larger congregations can have a material effect on their followers' effectiveness.
Defences
Progressions of will-o'-wisps, burning alien constellations, swirl around the Nameless Spires but never actually enter the city. It is speculated that they feed upon the terror of the ancient dead, or upon the emotions of an alien thing lurking underground, or the remnants of old magic that lies within and is specifically guarded by barriers and tethered beings.
Infrastructure
The ruined city buildings are carved of dark stone and metal and laid out in stellar patterns linked by stone roads. Six spires, each reaching up to 2,000 feet in height, are even spaced in the outskirts of the city. A black liquid has undermined the foundations of certain buildings and erupted from subterranean cysts leagues away from the city.
It contains the first temple of Theta, a temple dedicated to the god known as the creator of magic.

It lies on top of the world's largest Leyline point, and is specifically guarded by barriers and tethered beings, with only the most high ranking of those with large resonance are permited to enter within the site. The temple itself is surrounded by a large courtyard, with archways built on each side leading onto rock formations which contain barrier control keys. The massive stairway leads upward into the sanctuary, which houses a throne chair and crest of an unknown symbol
