Chambéry

Well pressed against the northern seas and the eastern desert resides the capital of Plaisir, Chambéry. In all ways a city of abundance and glamorousness. Nothing is left to chance, everything is carefully planned and designed for the smallest detail. Anyone who is someone lives here, and the city clearly shows the signs of the constant one-upmanship that takes place between the wealthiest residents. Nothing lasts long here, everything is built to impress and surpass and things rarely last more than a few years before being replaced with the latest fashion. From buildings and bridges to clothing and utensils, the citizens continuously replace everything with a newer model. But even here in this city, the desperation, created by overexploitation and exhaustion of the land around, seeps in and talking about the coup and revolution begins to echo in half-empty hallways and dark corners, intrigues and gossip are after all not unknown issues for the upper class.
