The Outside

A place of neutrality, The Outside is the headquarters of The Pursuit of Knowledge. The Pursuit allows The Collective to use The Outside for their conventions at which they discuss looming threats to their world. While the leaders are engrossed in these somber meetings, people from all over the world come here to share ideas, resources, and creations with each other. The Outside's neutrality is highly enforced, fights do break out as some peoples are unable to look past their cultural hatred of each other. The punishment for this is banishment to Desolation, being ostracized from their people and from the world. Being that The Outside is also the greatest collection of information on Erith, its archives and research centers are highly protected, any aggression against these places is punishable by immediate public death. Since the mastery of magic is only accessable to commonfolk through knowledge this is also where the greatest mages reside, learn, and perfect their crafts.
