The Pursuit of Knowledge

When the Ravnetyr's Xeia of Connection, Kogo was slain, the world lost a valuable aspect of their everyday lives. Sons turned on fathers, shamans forsook the land, and historians became disillusioned with their fascination in time. It was as though the humans had truly destroyed the feelings that bond all things. The Pursuit of Knowledge, was founded by Boforth Strange and his scholarly friends as a response to this dramatic change, proving that Kogo's essence hadn't fully disappeared. Through researching, understanding, and archiving everything they could learn in their travels, they began to symbolize the Connection between all regions across Incontinence. The Arcane Academia is a branch of P.o.K. that provides a safe and educational space where youths can learn what those who came before them had uncovered, and eventually, make their own discoveries as they transition into one of the functional branches.
This organization is an educated society that is interested in learning all the truths of the world of Erith and the universe around it. The Pursuit are the archivists of Erith, collectors and protectors of all recorded knowledge. They are also responsible for transcribing folklore and all knowledge and tales told purely by word of mouth into writing. Due to their many purposes in preserving, discovering, and teaching the information and history of their world/universe, they have different branches dedicated towards each task, and each run as its own culture and society. Their reach and knowledge has become so expansive that there's even a branch for outreach, a collection of ambassadors that seek to bridge the gaps between communities.
The information recorded and archived by The Pursuit has become pivotal to the survival of most settlements across the landscape, as the citizens of each society face supernatural storms, self-proclaimed gods, and unimaginable monsters regularly in the modern "Flame Age".
There are Seven Individual branches of P.o.K., who rely on each other to function like a well oiled machine:
Arcane Academia - Home to Students and Educators, this institution maintains the conveyence of knowledge between generations.
R.E.A.D. - PoK's primary organization for the gathering and analyzing of new information across all the sciences.
Scientists of Belief - Scholars particularly interested in the affect that religions and traditions have on the growth of a society and its neighbors.
The Keepers of History - Archivists who have committed their entire lives to the preservation of all knowledge that has been passed down since the first records.
Court of Abernath - Sometimes societies clash over differing ideals, and need a neutral party to mediate. Along with the combined efforts of The Order of Three The Court is a collection of individuals whose highest priority is True justice for all involved parties.
Joint Public Embassy - Individuals who find their passion in communication and bridging the divides between differing peoples, this is branch is full of Ambassadors whose career is to understand culture deeply, and translate any misunderstandings to other cultures.
Chivalry Society - Allumni of Arcane Acadamia with no exclusive allegiances who are more inclined to perform heroic services for innocent citizens.

Raury's Scale:
Named after a prestigious researcher within The Embassy who developed a process for determining a village's safety from monsters and storms.

Level One: (Most Vulnerable) Completely unprepared for unexpected weather patterns or monster attack
Level Two: (Minimal preparations) Has some means of dealing with threats, but are completely unprepared for anything significantly dangerous
Level Three: (Average defenses) These villages meet a standard of preparation and defenses against possible threats, as was published by The Pursuit
Level Four: (Independent) Has unique circumstances that provide unquantifiable benefits against threats
Level Five: (Impenetrable) Whether due to extremely efficient preparations and defenses or supernatural and uncategorizable influences, these societies are the safest place to raise a family.
