The Kingdom of Tarth

The Kingdom of Tarth is home to all the oldest Human Settlements. Although most have to rely on runes and magical artifacts to channel the arcane, the Royal Family and Four Noble Houses each have their own innate means of accessing the supernatural. In the beginning, human settlements were approached by curious outsiders with offers of friendship and trade. Through these connections, the rise of the Human Population flourished. The Legacy of Tarth is a history of progress through unity with the diverse people of the land.

Not all are happy about the magical inequality of their kin and instead choose to reject the supernatural reality around them that they cannot perceive. Through this jealousy a deep hatred took root, and a new human ideal was born. These few honed themselves to a razor's edge using whatever means they felt necessary to become the most powerful versions of themselves. This organization of elite combatants led to the First War to consume the entire continent and a rival Empire of Humans, Astorel.

The capital of the kingdom, Tarthsbane, was built as a fortress for these ideals of community and cooperation. A bastion of civilization where great minds and warriors congregated to chart the future of their people. When the wilderness became too wild it stood as an example of preparation and refuge to the young villages beyond its walls. Over the years it has become the hub of dozens of ideals as well as trade between settlements. Supernatural Disasters are not foreign to Tarthsbane, which has raised many legends and heroes to confront the terrors which threaten to render their organized habitation to rubble. These victories have woven a rich tapestry of traditions and fables that the Tarthians have built their culture around. When it comes to faith, the city is home to a diverse collection of believers and encourages every individual to choose their own path. It was here, at the Holy Chapel of Intj'r that the The Order of Three was first instituted before the congregation of the kingdom. Although the Monarchy of Tarth and Order of Three function separately of one another, they often cooperate to ensure humanity is making the best steps forward towards a bright future. A few years later, the Four Noble Houses would become the founders of The Pursuit of Knowledge, a non-militarized organization that prioritized the collection, preservation, and dissemination of critical information and history between civilized peoples.
