Er'In

It is said that the city of Er’In's beauty rivals even the heavens. From a distance it is said to be so marvelous that it is often mistaken for a mirage or hallucination, and the closer you get to the center of the city the buildings only become more intricate and spectacular. The walls and towers are composed of the finest marble in all the lands. Gold lines the innermost buildings as they belong to none other than the regent and his guard. But those within know better than any the truth of silver and gold, and things that have the finest appearance. That at their core, these things have the darkest of attributes. Er’In is no exception. In the back alleys there exist abandoned establishments that the poor huddle in, hoping to survive another day. These days there seem to be more citizens on the streets than in homes or providing services that can keep their families livelihoods.   One of the biggest attractions of the city is the Wisdom Tree, a golden apple that lies at its center. It was captured by the human armies in times of old, and since Er'In is the last true human settlement, it is a monument of their survival. It is also a source of unique power and spectacle regarding its curse. Tourists come to this city seeking to just see this and many of the city's other marvels. However, most of the extraordinary parts of this city are within the inner circle in modern times, the tree a closely guarded legend, that is dismissed by the citizens of the city as a mere children's story.   Erin is the biggest trading hub in the world and headquarters of The Traders Guild. It is the largest human settlement and was founded by Abby Normal and named after his son Erin Normal.   The Resistance is a group of people seemingly led by a builder named Aristok. Here people from all walks of life, from all over the world join together to rout the evil that has recently inhabited the city of Er’In. Their meeting place is an empty tavern to the east of the gate leading in and out of the city. The street it is located on was originally the place of commerce in Er’In as well as the first occurrence of the change of the city.
