Sabre
Structure
Sabre is an absolute monarchy, where the Imperial King has complete authoritarian power. While the king of Sabre often has numerous advisors, who can unofficially influence the King and provide him with advice, they have very little political power (and these days, the majority of them end up executed).
Territories
Sabre owns a tremendous swath of land west of the boundless bay, encompassing great plains and savannas, small jungles, and most notably a tremendous rocky plateau and mountain which looms up in the centre of the nation. Sabre is divided into four territories, the
Religion
Sabre is full of numerous cults and sects, and has no official state religion espoused by the dynasty. The god Naroganda, embodiment of revolution and the power of the common people, is secretly worshipped by hundreds of seperate and furtive cults across the nation. Samuel Zeruaz has tried constantly to stamp these out, and has devised a special method for their execution; having them devoured by hordes of rats, as rats and mice (as well as other rodents) are the sacred animals of Naroganda. Samuel is the kind of ruler who appreciates irony. The current religion held by Samuel himself is the worship of Tharsha, goddess of society, and he urges the rest of the realm to do the same although he has not made it an official state religion. Temples have been constructed to her throughout the empire, especially in Acalaçariá, the intellectual centre of Sabre. However, most of the Sabran people worship a nameless, ancient goddess who represents the element of air. Shrines to this unknown deity are found throughout the realm, in ancient ruins and temples, and most commoners carry small idols of her wherever they go.
Cults of pseudo-gods are many and influential in Sabre. The Church of Tvorevka (whom the Sabrans call Tvorresar) was introduced by their Kravic allies and has gained a small following among the military. The Founts of Holy Flame operate covertly in West Sabre, collaborating with the crime lord Oru Beshke, and try to spread the diabolical worship of the immortal dragon Eravandor (Lota'latl to the Sabrans). Yet the cult of H'jah the crab-god, imported from Jaka'a, has grown massively and insidiously in the area. It has now overtaken the cuklt in Jaka'a, and in fact Sabre has more Hjaists than all the other nations combined. It has grown so large that Samuel has given up on stamping it out, and has let it spread freely.
