Creative Practice Day 9

General Summary

"Now then my friend! Let us finish thie matter about the cargo and the price. Our journey here was, to say the least, delicate at best. Skyships patrolling, angry Tletlan raiders, and bad weather. Your cargo is indeed valuable and we guarded it with our lives. All I request is a 20% increase in your payment to us to compensate us in being unable to fulfill other looming contracts that we wont be able to do as we wait out this storm. What say you, friend?" The merchant dragon grinned, extending his hand. The Horomite watchmaster looks on, unimpressed.

"Horomar's navy does not pay for storm delays, as we have none. I was given no portion to go towards that delay, friend. I will feed you for your time here, and make sure you are as comfortable as I am. I can do no more for you. I pay the agreed price." His accent was thick, so the dragon switched to his buyer's language, hoping to needle his way into more profit.

"My friend I understand, but surely your commanding officers would know how to... How do you say? Reimburse you? Surely they will understand and see both of our needs. I could write you an affidavit, I am a senior guild member after all."

"Jebim. The deal our people signed for these supplies was not a reciept, nor a simple request. It was a contract. Horomites only write contracts. Neither you, nor I could change these terms to suit our whims. *surely* you can understand the terms of a contract, and that any change by us would be held as a breach. Not something I want on my record with... this cargo."

"Not many men can talk a Goshën trader out of a negotiation, but this time, I relent. Your hospitality is greatly appreciated, and my caravan survive this storm because of you. You have my thanks, Jarbikken Lum"
