Creative Practice Day 8
General Summary
"This is no place for a priest to be, especially one so young as you" Growled the officer, startled by the young priestess appearance in the trenches.
"Do nor fear, officer. This is not my first battle." Casually, she strode directly past him, easily avoiding the clamor and hubub of a trench full of soldiers taking cover from artillery fire.
"No! You don't have clearance to be here! No civilians in my trench. This is an active warzone ma'am!" The grizzled officer spat, running after the small robed figure. He grabbed her robes and began to try and haul her back to the rear exit of the trench, but, her resistance was surprising staunch. She turned on a dime and looked at him with cold, golden eyes, faintly glowing.
"Sir. You will not stand between me and my mission. If our places were reversed, you would not hesitate to be violent if I stood between you and yours." The officer had heard stories of these ancient pilgrims. Thier deeds of old and supernatural powers were whispered of in the mess halls and bunks, but he did not believe, not yet.
"Fine. I will accompany you so you don't get your head blown clean off."
"My thanks, officer." She turned and swiftly continued on her original path. She reached the slumped figure of a dying man. His left arm was holding on by some sinue and cartilage. She crouched near him and held his face with one hand.
"Be of good courage soldier. You will survive this day." The officers eyes widened as the priestess began to radiate amber light. The edges of her cloak lit with a white fire, as the young soldier's body began to rebuild itself before their eyes. Within a minute his torn body was whole again, and he used his arm to push himself into an upright position. She stood and turned to the officer. "The work is not yet done. You must now stay here and prepare. You will know when it is time to advance your position." Baffled the officer began to question but she paid him no heed. The flames once more lit around the priestess as she scaled the wall of the trench and began to stride directly towards the enemy encampment.
