Creative Practice Day 5
General Summary
Scraping and groaning, like continental sheets of ice cracking and being pushed against eachother filled the underground catacombe. A figure stood, unmoved, singular red eye focused on a single point. The ritual had succeeded. Ash and vapor coalesced into a hulking, hunkering form. Pzioelectric flashes of pure bone-white backlit the skeletal frame of Inzjk, the Weyrdcaller.
"Once again you seek my aid this night, Hamzundir. Twice summoned... A heavy toll to pay. What needest you?" Inzjk's voice reverberated the temple walls like thunder and an unsheathing knife.
"Your brilliantly concieved plan, Inzjk, has ruptured. The villiagers escaped. A hero stood amongst them." Glaring, Hamzundir the lich stood defiantly before the god. Few beings could manage such a feat, but Hamzundir the undying could.
"And you did not snuff out that little light? Was it too bright for your shadow? Such a delicacy should have been a glorious carrion for my beasts to bear back to their master."
"She bore the light of the dream tree. Your ferocious beasts turned and fled as if they were krill from a whale. All was lost, and my forces routed. You did not tell me of their weakness! I expected more from such a... hideous threat such as yourself."
"You are an insolent one I grant you that. Your plight is not yet beyond completion Hamzundir. Your goal may yet be reached, and a blow could yet be dealt to the Six."
"Surely you speak madness! None have succeded in a direct assault on the Immensi"
"Your strategies are far too narrow my friend. If you are willing to be patient, I shall give you the reward promised, since, you have paid such a price to get it. Inzjk will help you. You must listen for me. I will cling to your shadow. First, let us upon the old Runesport"
