Creative Practice Day 49
General Summary
My fingernails are scraped to nothing
as I claw up the mountain side
they tell me to get up and walk
my legs look like they'll work just fine
I don't know why I won't
But I climb and climb
wrenching my way higher.
Who can say if I am making progress
or just sliding down slowly.
If I could walk, does it stop?
Is the peak some far off end?
Never have I seen any come back down again
Someone once told me
“The shit does not end”
and to enjoy the process
I can't tell you which is harder
walking, or enjoying the crawl.
