Creative Practice Day 32
General Summary
It was not every day that Fae King Obereon was surprised by a visitor to his realm. Normally, there was a process. A procedure. And they were "welcomed" in. This was borderline intrusion. An elf with lavender skin sat in his garden sanctuary, serenely, as if she was waiting for him.
"I was wondering when you would arrive, King Obereon." She was waiting for him. Startled, he replied,
"Good evening... Your presence is unexpected. Might I have your name?"
"You don't already know it?"
"Perhaps I have forgotten. Remind me, please." A sly smile came to the woman's face. Behind her, the silver sickle of the moon began to rise above the horizon. It's light filled the garden, as moonflowers bloomed where they had never been planted. King Obereon bowed low to his royal guest.
"My lady Selune, forgive my lack of sight. Welcome to the realm of Fae King Obereon. What brings your diety to our humble forest?" The goddess of moon and tide stood, and smiled.
"Do not fear. I hold no grudge, as I came in secret, meaning no one should recognize me. I wished to speak with you in the secrecy of this garden, away from the harsher lights of other gods."
"An honor I can barely contain, my lady. We shall not be heard here by any you do not wish." The forest itself seemed to sway in the fall wind, encroaching in the dusk light and dampening all their sounds.
"There is dissent amongst the pantheon, Obereon. Some hidden struggle. Heroes pitted against heroes and someone is behind it. Have you heard anything of a farmer's girl, one who carries great power?" The King turned to face Selune as they walked through the garden.
"Why yes. One such girl is helping my sister in Rune'sPort. A terrible thing, really. Lissandra's daughter, my niece, has been kidnapped. She and a group of adventurers seek to rescue her from some piracy."
