Creative Practice Day 2

General Summary

Cass stood over the half-consumed lifeless corpse, soaked in gore and viscera. He heard soft footsteps behind him. He whirled, arms outstretched trying to keep Sophie's eyes from falling on the horror he had created. "Don't come closer!" he croaked.

"I know what you eat, Cass." Sophie said quietly. "So long as you continue to eat people trying to grab me I have no complaints." She paused, looking at Cass, her gaze resting on his face. He was no longer disguising his true form. One long mouth ran the length of his torso, bristling with large teeth and sharpened bits of cartellage, and extra glowing orange eyes had opened on his arms and neck.

"Why aren't you scared of me?" Cass said, not trusting this unknown reaction.

"I got to know the real Cass before I saw the... Well. The scary side of Cass. Would I be wrong in guessing you only eat criminals?"

"You would not be wrong..."

"Anyway. You have my thanks Cass. If you ever need anything, you know how to get in contact with me. I owe you for saving me so don't feel bashful." She turned and began to exit the dark alley and out into the greater Prismatic City. "Oh, and don't worry. Your shapeshifting secret is safe with me. I know when to keep something close to my chest." Cass stood in the shadows for a long while trying to comprehend. Few people had seen him, especially seen him feeding on someone. No one had ever not completely lost their minds and fled. He was a monster, but she wasn't scared.
