Forlorn Hope

These are the first to enter the breaches in the defenses of their enemies. It's considered an honor to join this formation and is made up entirely of volunteers that are well compensated for the risk. Being a group of volunteers there is a wide variety of troops to join, with the exception of elderly that join. Their heightened magic being extremely useful in taking out enemy defenders, they also make extensive use of Shield to keep the troops alive longer. It lives up to its name, with casualties taking most of the troop, leading the elderly to join more often as they see their sacrifice as better than living out an extra handful of years.
