Very few Omnos ships have ever been verifiably sighted in the recent recorded history of the galaxy. Other than the ship explored by Mark and Xavier Thomason in 862 MY and the one reportedly reverse engineered by Monsos, no other derelict Omnos ship has ever been discovered. The thoroughness of the destruction of the Omnos fleet has led many to the conclusion that the Omnos fleet consisted of a very small number of extremely powerful ships. However, records provided by the Old Regime of their elimination of the Omnos show those ships being defeated by a far less advanced enemy while inflicting surprisingly few losses.
It would later be confirmed that a third Omnos ship crashed on the Mykentian home world late in their Great War period, allowing the Tavenso to reverse engineer it and jump start the Mykentian space program. This ship was extremely small and is believed to have been some sort of jump capable transport.
The explored ships showed an understanding of science far in advance of anyone else in the galaxy, with even
Xavier Thomason being unable to fully determine how they actually functioned. There was no observable power system, only a large empty sphere in the center of the ship that seemed designed to channel plasma to different parts of the ship. Study of this would lead to the invention of the Lucifer Cannon.
The ships also lacked any form of jump or propulsion system, evidently utilizing a highly advanced form of gravity drive. The weapons systems appeared relatively simple, relying on channeling raw plasma from the central sphere and directing it in compressed pulses at a target.
Visually, the ships appear to be elongated, flattened ovoids with three long pylons attached to the ventral side and a dorsal superstructure. The central pylon contained the primary weapon, linked directly to the central sphere, while the other two seemed to be filled with shield generators and point defense systems. The dorsal superstructure was primarily filled with crew quarters and facilities, including a large number of windows inconsistent with these ships being warships.

Multi-sphere
The Omnos refer to the large sphere at the center of the ship as the “multi-sphere,” because it has multiple functions. While Xavier was correct in assuming it was part of the power system, it is also the propulsion and jump system.
Power Generation
Omnos ships utilize what they refer to as “positive energy,” which is essentially dark energy drawn from hyperspace. This is contained within the sphere as an extremely highly energized plasma, which is compressed to store as much power as possible. This is necessary because the energy is drawn from within hyperspace, and the ship must be relatively stationary to charge. Should this energy be depleted, the system can be charged using quantum fission, but this will only provide a fraction of the power. It is also notable that the multi-sphere powers only the weapons, jump, and propulsion systems. All other systems utilize either local zero-point generators that independently provide power to small areas of the ship, or gravitic power generators within the sphere that help neutralize the mass of the compressed plasma within.
Jump System
The jump system in common usage utilizes a series of rotating and spinning rings to weave high energy plasma into a pattern of threads to generate the jump field. Omnos technology has advanced far beyond this with regards to jump technology, and their mastery of gravitational and electromagnetic fields in particular is far ahead of any other species. Their jump system is incorporated directly into the multi-sphere, where superconducting coils transfer energy from the core to generate the jump field without the need for moving components. This allows Omnos ships to jump at any time, without having to spool up their drives or vent plasma from within the system. The amount of power available also allows for the formation of jump fields of immense size, allowing for a single Omnos ship to jump an entire fleet utilizing only one jump system.
Propulsion
Most gravity drive systems are technically “gravity tractor drives,” where a gravity well is projected in front of the ship, and the ship essentially falls into it. The Omnos mastery of gravitational fields allows them to generate this gravity well as part of the multi-sphere, allowing them to move freely in any direction and orientation. The amount of power available and the tight confinement of the gravity well allows them rapid acceleration at any time.
Weapons
Primary Weapon
The main gun of the Omnos ship is located in the central pylon, and is a multi-function unit drawing power directly from the multi-sphere. It can be fired in pulse mode, as demonstrated by the reverse engineered Lucifer Cannon, but can also be fired in a highly focused continuous beam mode (referred to as “slicer mode” or "slicer beam" by the Omnos).
Nowhere Missiles
Designed during the Third Defensive Intervention and reverse engineered by Monsos, the Nowhere Missile essentially uses a small jump drive in place of a warhead. A proximity sensor triggers the warhead, initiating a jump to no particular destination, transporting everything within the jump field with it.
Ripper Beams
At close ranges, Omnos ships can utilize a force beam which, thanks to the immense power reserves available, can rip practically any target apart.
Boomers
The Omnos refer to any type of bomb as a “boomer.” The Type 925 which was developed following their ascension is likely the most dangerous. The weapons are generated outside the ship by the onboard converter and are essentially miniature multi-spheres. They quickly charge with positive energy, and then jump into the center of their target. Interpenetration of the highly energized plasma mass with the ship all but guarantees the destruction of any ship, including Enmalex True Fleet ships.
Crusher
Omnos mastery of gravitational fields has also led to the recent development of the Crusher, which essentially generates a gravitational bubble around a ship which implodes.
Defenses
Shields
The immense energy reserves available to Omnos ships allow them to generate shields of incredible strength. In addition, the Omnos have a gravitational shield available, which essentially places the ship within a gravitational bubble that deflects incoming fire around the ship. The ships may also enter what the Omnos refer to as “bunker mode,” where they remain stationary and continuously transfer power from the multi-sphere to the shields, granting them essentially unlimited energy reserves.
Armor
The Omnos utilize both ablative armor for absorbing kinetic weapons, and an advanced energy refreacting armor capable of refracting up to ninety-eight percent of energy weapons away from the hull.
