La'ven
Lord Kandix was born La'ven on the world of Laanu'Teth in the Para Sector on July 19, 841 MY. Kidnapped as an infant by slave traders, he would be sold to Kandix Prime and raised as a slave. He would serve under Princess Sybelle until she became Empress of Kandix, after which time he passed through the hands of several owners. He would be sent to the gladiator arena in 910 MY, before being chosen as personal attendant and bodyguard to Prince Erdan in 916 MY. Following the revolution and rise of Erdan to Grand Prince of Kandix in 919 MY he would be made a Master of Kandix.
Spoilers for Enmalex Wars, Book 5
He would become Grand Master of Kandix in 982 MY following the death of Grand Prince Erdan, adopting the name "Lord Kandix" as his name was unknown and he had never been given one since his kidnapping. As Lord Kandix, he would introduce gradual reforms to improve the life of slaves and eliminate some of the harsher entertainments. He would be temporarily deposed in a coup in 987 MY, before being restored through a combination of popular uprising and support from the Mykentian and Enmalex Republics. In 988 MY he would hand power to Tor Kandix, adopting his native name of La'ven and joining the Omnos Collective Council. Leon Thomason would describe him as "the most dangerous being in the known universe."
