Ainath

If the Omnos Individuals could be said to have a leader, it would be Ainath. During the Omnos War of Supremacy, he would organize the Individuals and their supporters in their efforts to resist the formation of a dominant Collective Overmind. He would be captured by the Collective by a restraint device and forced to speak on their behalf.   Charming and charismatic by nature, the Overmind would send Ainath on diplomatic missions. As a planner, it was Ainath that conceived the Redemption Plan where a new galactic power would resist the Enmalex and allow the cycle of Enmalex invasions to end.   With the rise of the Mykentian Republic, the Omnos would ascend to make way for the new Republic to expand freely, knowing that their sudden disappearance would make the Enmalex hesitate. The Omnos Overmind would decide to leave Ainath and the other Individuals in physical form as part of their ongoing imprisonment. The Individuals would become known as the Omnos Watchers, intervening when necessary to prevent the premature discovery of the Enmalex and to remove the remains of Omnos technology across the galaxy.   With the collapse of the Second Republic, Ainath would realize that the plan had failed, and suggest a new plan to pick up the pieces. The Omnos would have to move quickly and decisively to set events in motion as they had seen Enmalex scouts monitoring communications on the edge of the galaxy, obviously gathering intelligence prior to launching a new campaign. To set this new plan in motion Ainath would enter the body of a human at conception to avoid detection, unconsciously influencing those around him to move in the direction needed. In this guise he would be known as Aiden Thomason, setting in motion the Anatos Mission and the subsequent restoration of the Mykentian Republic under the Thomason family.   Like the other Individuals, Ainath’s body is kept in stasis beneath the surface of the Omnos home world, bound by a restraint device and astral projects into bodies that are free to move. By 797 MY the degradation of Omnos clone bodies had reached a point that it was impossible to generate stable new clones, and the supply left behind for the Individuals was becoming increasingly limited. Ainath would allow himself to be discovered by Leon Thomason, quickly jumping into Leon’s body as his clone died. He would guide Leon to the Omnos home world, and with the assistance of Krendian would create a new body that was a hybrid of human and Omnos genetics. He would then work with Leon in the secret continuation of the plan, Leon unaware of Ainath’s identity.
