Order of Kastova's Guardians
Structure
The organization isn't as concrete as many other organizations, as it's more a way of teaching and conduct. There is no real "leader" of the group, and splinter groups are not uncommon. All fully-fledged Kastovs take the title of "Kastov," and many may go on to receive other ranks or achievements, but these are through other avenues. All are seen as equal within the Order--or at least that's the concept.
Public Agenda
The Order of Kastova's Guardians is sort of like quality control for knights. It simply ensures that only the best the kingdom has to offer are given the title, which inspires trust in those who carry the title.
History
The history of the Order of Kastova's Guardians extends back to the creation of the kingdom itself. Beginning simply as a group of the most elite fighters, it has now morphed into a society with well-defined requirements and guidelines for members and initiates alike.
Tenets of Faith
While not technically a religious order, Kastovs usually worship Kastova. Many see it as a sacred duty to train to become a Kastov. Many members, however, will worship other gods, either instead of, or alongside, Kastova. Kastovs hold it as their duty to protect the weak and serve the order and the greater good. The Order does not advocate for blindly following any lord or king, and Kastov training involves significant philosophical learnings and the discussion of right and wrong. This philosophical bent has somewhat lessened over the years, however, and many Kastovs do find themselves in service of one lord with minimal consideration of their individual moral obligations.
